Eiffel Tower

We got to the tower after dark which meant we got to see the crazy lights.  We went to the Trocadero metro stop so we got to walk down past the fountains and had a great view.

Fountains!

Paris Day One

One of our shows got canceled and we ended up with a few days off that we got to spend in Paris.  We took the train up, and I rented a hotel room near the Gare du Nord.  The first day we only had the afternoon so we went to the Sacre Couer since it was within walking distance.  We then tried unsuccessfully to see the Opera House but the tours were already stopped for the day.

Beauvais, France 2012

Our first stop in France was a small town very close to Paris.  We were thankfully back to fall weather and I was able to wander around the town a bit while my coworkers loaded in the theater.  It was a gorgeous place and all the leaves were changing color.  I got super lost and walked in a huge circle, but eventually found my way back to the hotel.  Our hotel here was one of my least favorite from all the cities.  It was clean enough but smelled horrible and my room was directly above the attached bar AND there was a streetlight directly outside my window.  Luckily I only actually stayed there a couple of nights and spent the rest of my time scheduled in the city in Paris.

Crazy bent tree in the park across from the hotel.
Fountain in the park across from the hotel.

Pretty French trees.

SNOW!

On our last day in CO before we were flying out to France it snowed.  A lot.  We had to take a pretty terrifying bus ride in the mountains on the icy roads and then had to do a show where most of my boxes were locked inside the frozen truck and I had to go in and out of the snow to get every little thing I forgot.  Not to mention my boxes that could come inside were literally four flights of stairs down from the stage and there wasn't an elevator.  Overall, not the best couple of days on tour.  The one saving grace was that the snow was gorgeous.

Outdoor Fire at Beaver Creek during a break before our performance.

Beautiful Beaver Creek right before the snow hit.

Olympic Park- Park City, Utah

We had a day off in Park City, Utah and as we were driving into the city I noticed the Olympic rings.  I am obsessed with all things Olympics so I did my research and figured out that the Olympic Park where several of the sports for the Salt Lake City Games were competed was right down the road from our condos.  After a bit of digging and a couple of phone calls I figured out I could take a bus to visit the museum and park.  The museum itself was pretty interesting and there were several interactive exhibits where you could ski or learn how to slalom.  Then they drove a small group of us around to tour the park.  We actually got to watch some skeleton racing by olympic hopefuls.  It was a pretty awesome day.

Mountains From a Bus

We drove from Park City, Utah to Sheridan, WY to Colorado.  I took a lot of pictures of mountains from the comfort of my bus seat.
